Hundreds Pack Woodridge Library To See Trinity Irish Dancers

More than 200 residents watched the Trinity Irish Dancers perform live on St. Patrick's Day.

WOODRIDGE, IL — More than 200 people flocked to Woodridge Public Library Saturday to catch a special St. Patrick's performance by the Trinity Irish Dancers. This year marked the library's second annual performance from the dancers, who got the energy going with traditional jigs and fast-paced routines.

Wearing authentic Irish garb and wigs of cascading curls, the dancers beamed as they performed challenging dance steps. Some of the youngest dancers were just four years old. Many of the older dancers will be traveling to Glasgow to compete in an international competition in April.

To see more international dance performances, visit the library on April 15 for a classical Indian dance performance by Bharatam Academy and on May 17 for a show by the Mariachi Matters Youth Ensemble.
