Learn About 'Hamilton's Women' At Woodridge Public Library
The educational one-woman show gives voice to Alexander Hamilton's wife and two sisters.

WOODRIDGE, IL — Ever since "Hamilton" debuted in 2015, much attention has been given to the history behind the male characters in the play. A one-woman show called "Hamilton's Women" offers a new perspective by shedding light on the women in Alexander Hamilton's life. And it's coming to Woodridge Public Library on Sept. 12.
"Hamilton's Women," starring Leslie Goddard, Ph.D., explores the lives of three women who played integral roles in the life of Alexander Hamilton. Goddard takes on the roles of Hamilton's wife, Elizabeth Hamilton and his sisters, Angelica Schuyler Church, and Peggy Schuyler van Rensselaer in a performance that promises to be both educational and inspirational.
Geared toward teens and adults, "Hamilton's Women" is roughly an hour-long performance and there will be time to ask Dr. Goddard questions. It's a great opportunity to give young adults an enlightening peek into the unsung heroes of Hamilton's life.
