Man Charged In Meth Conspiracy to Appear in Court Today

This is John Stark's first appearance since a Woodridge resident agreed to testify against him.

John Stark, charged in connection with a methamphetamine conspiracy, is scheduled to appear in court today. This is his first appearance since Woodridge resident and co-defendent Michael Dehlinger pleaded guilty and agreed to testify against him.

Michael Dehlinger of Woodridge pleaded guilty Aug. 28 for his part in a methamphetamine conspiracy, and agreed to testify against Stark as part of a deal with prosecutors.

The 22-year-old Dehlinger was arrested in May after police discovered a small meth lab, drugs and drug paraphernalia inside his apartment. Police had gone to Dehlinger's apartment originally to serve him an arrest warrant for theft.

He was initially charged with conspiracy to make meth and possession of meth-making materials, but pleaded guilty in the deal to possessing less than 30 grams of "methamphetamine precursor," court records show.

He was sentenced to 180 days in DuPage County Jail, with credit for time already served, placed on two years of probation, ordered to pay $2,440 and to undergo regular drug testing. He also cannot have contact with, but must testify against, John Stark, who awaits trial on meth conspiracy and possession with intent to deliver charges.
