Multicultural Fair To Celebrate Woodridge's Rich Diversity
The free event will be held at Thomas Jefferson Junior High School on May 17.
WOODRIDGE, IL -- Students and staff at Thomas Jefferson Junior High School are gearing up for a multicultural fair that will celebrate Woodridge's diverse community through song, dance, and food. The free May 17 event will combine traditional entertainment from around the globe with opportunities to learn about what life is like for people of different cultures throughout the world.
Guests will have an opportunity to sample authentic cuisine from other countries, learn folk songs and dances, and create traditional arts and crafts. Those who attend are also encourage to bring their own dish to spotlight their personal culture and share with others.
Local cultural organizations will also be on hand to provide information and answer questions throughout the multicultural fair.
