WOODRIDGE, IL — Road work is expected to start in mid-May on a project to resurface parts of Woodward Avenue in Woodridge. The project will cause temporary lane closures on Woodward Avenue from Wheeler to 75th Street, village officials said in a news update.

The $950,000 resurfacing project will be paid for in part by a Surface Transportation Program (STP) grant, which will cover 70 percent of the cost. The resurfacing work will also include sidewalk and curb repair, in addition to pavement markings where necessary.

Officials said the project is anticipated to last about 11 weeks with intermittent lane closures. Despite the lane closures, northbound and southbound traffic will still be open on Woodward Avenue for the duration of the road work.
