Shanahan's Food & Spirits Celebrates 20 Year Anniversary
2020 marks 20 years of business for Shanahan's Food & Spirits in Woodridge, Illinois
Shanahan's is tucked in the southeast corner at 75th Street and Woodward Avenue. It's known for serving the best burgers in town and being a place where people gather in our community. "We are grateful for our wonderful patrons, community leaders, volunteer organizations and our amazing Shanahan's staff," says Rich Moore, founder and owner.
Over the years Shanahan's became very active in the Woodridge Rotary Club where Rich served as President and was named a Paul Harris Fellow. Shanahan's has held many fundraisers which serve to benefit the Woodridge community and is the meeting place for VFW Post 1578. The Woodridge Jaycees and many other local community groups have gathered at this location to hold meetings and special events.
Shanahan's was recognized several years ago as Business of the Year and most recently Rich Moore received the prestigious Spirit Award from Mayor Gina Cunningham. About five years ago, Shanahan's became recognized as one of the best places in the suburbs to find great live music. Great music, great food and great friends is now the theme as Shanahan's goes forward.

Rich Moore's wife Ruth has worked by his side growing the business. His daughter, Amanda Pappas has worked in various capacities over the years and is now operating as President of the company. Amanda is a graduate of Creighton University with a degree in Organizational Communications.
A few years ago, Shanahan's was granted a license to offer video gaming. They now offer six video gaming machines. "We invite you to come and enjoy our great food, friends, entertainment and luck-of-the-Irish video gaming," says Moore. "We're truly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this great community, " continues Moore. Perhaps Shanahan's is one of the best kept secrets in the Western Suburbs, It's a must to visit on $5 Burger Monday for a Half-Pound Angus Cheeseburger and fresh cut fries from 11 am - Midnight.
