Shanahan's Restaurant celebrates their Opening of Patio Dining

Shanahans built a temporary patio directly in front of their in-door business. It is a gateway to opening up "full time". The area is fenced-in, tented and heaters are available when it is cool. There is an old saying, "if you build it they will come".
It appears to be true because we had customers from all over the western suburbs to have dinner and enjoy the beautiful weather, great food and music. Most people came to Shanahans with face masks on and took them off when they were in the company of their own family/friends at their private table. When they went to use the restroom facilities, they put their mask back on and remained socially distance from other customers. The reality is that when you are among friends and family you have your own comfort zone. People stayed within their own groups and enjoyed each other's company for the first time in ten weeks. Thanks to all who participated in this weekends adventure and Shanahan's looks forward to serving our community as we all go forward.
