Weather Impacts Parking For Woodridge 4th Of July Picnic

WOODRIDGE, IL -- Heavy rainfall has added an extra headache for Woodridge residents who want to enjoy Fourth of July. Due to rain, no parking spots will be available at Castaldo Park, so the village has put an alternative parking plan into effect.

Village officials say there will only be a limited amount of handicap parking spaces available. Shuttle service will be in effect from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to ferry guests to and from the park.

Parking will be available at the following locations:

Woodridge Village Hall, 5 Plaza Dr.

Jefferson Junior High School, 7200 Janes Ave.

Fred C. Hohnke Community Center, 2600 Center Dr.

Visitors will be able to drop off any supplies they are bringing to the picnic at the 71st Street Castaldo Park parking lot .
