WOODRIDGE, IL — If you live in or near Woodridge, you'll find that there's more than one reason for the village's upcoming anniversary parade. Set for Sept. 28, the parade will not only celebrate the 60th anniversary of the village, but also the 50th anniversary of the Woodridge Park District.

The parade, which steps off at 9 a.m. near Woodridge village hall, includes local high school bands, public officials, members of the police and fire departments, business owners, and more. Visitors can expect to see horses, motorcycles, antique cars, a replica airplane, and Shriners cruising along the parade route.

If you head to the parade, bring a non-perishable food item. Members of the West Suburban Community Pantry will be marching with empty shopping carts for residents to toss their food donations in.
