The 22-foot sledding hill will be build near Jefferson Junior High School.
WOODRIDGE, IL — It may be summer, but the Woodridge Park District is setting its sights on winter by building a new sledding hill. The park district is aiming to have the hill built by the end of summer 2019.
The sledding hill is planned to be more than 22 feet tall, the Woodridge Park District said in an online update. The hill is being built west of Jefferson Junior High School.
Due to the construction, the village has made a temporary road for construction vehicles to get to and from the project.

Although the sledding hill will be done by the end of summer, park district officials say it likely won't be ready for sledding until winter of 2020-2021, as the hill's turf has to grow properly first.
