Woodridge Cops Issue 29 Traffic Citations For Halloween Crackdown
The citations included two violations involving cannabis, police said.
WOODRIDGE, IL — Woodridge police have released the numbers from their annual Halloween traffic enforcement crackdown. In 2019, Woodridge police issued a total of 29 citations for traffic violations from Oct. 19 through Nov. 3 as part of the ongoing Click It or Ticket and Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaigns.
According to Woodridge spokesperson Jim Hoff, police practiced additional enforcement "during late-night hours, when statistics show the most unbuckled and impaired driving fatalities occur." Hoff added that the citations included two violations that involved cannabis.
