WOODRIDGE, IL — The winners of the Woodridge Public Library's 2019 miniature pumpkin decorating contest have been announced. With more than 150 entries of festively decorated tiny pumpkins, the library reportedly had a tough time narrowing down the selection to just a handful of winners.

The colorful winning pumpkins ranged in design from a handpainted Dracula emerging from a tiny coffin to a pumpkin designed to resemble none other than the inexplicably popular "poo emoji."

The winners for the library's 3rd Annual Mini Pumpkin Decorating contest are as follows:

The Koss household took home the grand prize in 2019 with a pumpkin decorated to depict a horrifying Count Dracula head emerging from a coffin. The creepy creation came complete with bugs crawling out of the sarcophagus.

Most Funny

The award for Most Funny pumpkin went to the Hanks household for their version of a bespectacled unicorn-like creature reading a book about how to win a pumpkin decorating contest. Delightfully meta!

Most Gross

Kudos to the Petraitis household for their poo emoji pumpkin. The realism on this pumpkin —complete with kernels of corn— may have been what helped it earn the title of most gross. Did we mention it's perched on a piece of toilet paper?

Most Creative

The Young household took home the title of Most Creative. Their bearded pumpkin sported a wild and crazy gray hairdo and a flannel shirt while holding on to a comb.

Kid-Tastic awards were given out for pumpkins decorated by kids. These awards went to the Witte, Poet, and Gomez households. Honorable mentions went to Ms. Erin's Class and the Schultz, Kramer, Tsukuno, Andrea, Smuda, Edwards, and Crooms households.

Congratulations to all the winners and thanks for sharing your art!
