Woodridge Mini Triathlon Canceled Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

The Woodridge Rotary Mini Triathlon has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic and the closing of Cypress Cove.

WOODRIDGE, IL — The Woodridge Rotary Mini Triathlon planned for Aug. 9, known as Chicagoland's largest of its kind, has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic and the closing of Cypress Cove under the guidelines of Gov. J.b. Pritzker's "Restore Illinois" Plan. According to Woodridge Rotary Club, the mini triathlon is an essential financial event for Woodridge as it provides support to programs for families, youth and social service organizations with the community.

The Woodridge Rotary Club said they've given financial support during this pandemic to the local food pantry, front line service workers, servers and cooks at local restaurants, iPads for nursing homes, social services, and high school scholarships, to name a few.

In addition, the club said they've stayed engaged and continue to reach out to serve the community.
