Woodridge Officials Weigh $3.3M Land Purchase For Expansion
The land would allow Woodridge to expand its Town Centre and build a new police station.

WOODRIDGE, IL — The village of Woodridge is thinking about expanding its headquarters and town center with the purchase of nearly 13 acres. The parcel of land, located near the intersection of Janes Avenue and 75th Street, has a price tag of over $3.3 million dollars, which would be potentially funded through the village's cash reserves, according to Woodridge officials.
Village officials envision the 12.69-acre site as a way to expand Woodridge's Town Centre and provide additional facilities that will foster "future growth" of the village. The property sits at the northern end of the space once occupied by Wilton, in an area that village officials called "an ideal location for future Village facilities needs due to its central location within Woodridge, and its proximity to the existing municipal campus."

Among the facilities that could be part of the proposed expansion are a larger police department and public works building.
