Woodridge Park District Human Resource Manager Wins Village Award

Connie Curry Honored as the Woodridge Outstanding Employee of the Year

The Village of Woodridge recently presented Woodridge Park District Human Resource Manager Connie Curry with the 2020 Woodridge Outstanding Employee of the Year award. She was recognized for her dependability approachability, listening skills, strong communication skills and overall pro-employee attitude.

Connie joined the District in 2012 as a part-time Human Resources Generalist, was promoted to a full-time employee in 2015 and was promoted again in 2018 to the Human Resources Manager. Connie is the employee that staff turns to when they have work-related issues, personal issues or just need someone to listen. During the COVID-19 crisis, Connie has been one the key employees in helping to navigate the crisis by keeping staff informed of the everchanging times and helping management staff through tough decisions.

Outside of her regular duties, Connie volunteers at community events as well as involves her family in the Woodridge Clean Up the Parks Day on an annual basis.
