The Woodridge Rotary Club will celebrate 30 years of service

The idea of Rotary was the vision of Paul Harris who established the Rotary Club of Chicago back in 1905 so professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas, form meaningful, lifelong friendships and give back to their communities.
Today Rotary International has over 1.2 million members and is represented in over 200 countries.

The Woodridge Rotary Club was established in 1989 and will be celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
Woodridge Rotary meets every Tuesday at Seven Bridges Golf Club at noon, except for the second Tuesday of every month when the club meets at Shanahans Food & Spirit for a social gathering at 6:30. The Woodridge Rotary Club is best known for hosting one of the largest Mini Triathlons in the MIdwest every August. The next Mini Triathlon will take place on Sunday August 11th at Cypress Cove in Woodridge. For details of this event you can go to http://www.woodridgerotary.org

The proceeds from this event support over 20 local charities including the West Suburban Food Pantry. The Woodridge Rotary Club will be honoring twelve new Paul Harris Fellows.
These are individual volunteers who have donated their time and talent to make our world and this community a better place to live. This is the largest recognition dinner of Paul Harris Fellows in 30 years. We acknowledge the good works of these very special people. The event will be held at Shanahans Food & Spirits on Tuesday April 16th at 6:30.
