Woodridge Seeks Ideas For 'Beautifcation' Project Near Waterbury
Villagers are invited to share their ideas at the April 11 village meeting.

WOODRIDGE, IL -- Woodridge village officials are asking for residents to help with an upcoming project to improve the area near Janes Avenue and 83rd Street. Members of the community are encouraged to bring their ideas to an upcoming village meeting on April 11.
The "beautification project" aims to bring more greenery and revitalize the land and streetscape west of Janes Avenue and north of 83rd. The project will be located just west of the Waterbury subdivision, village officials said. The area is also not far from Cypress Cove Waterpark, a popular stop for villagers and visitors in summer.

Social media users were quick to offer initial suggestions for the project, which included the idea of creating a community garden and the hope of seeing a Shake Shack pop up.
