Woodridge Shares Halloween, Trick-Or-Treating Update
The village recommends trick-or-treating hours to be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. should the festivities take place.
WOODRIDGE, IL — The Village of Woodridge said they've gotten many inquiries about Halloween and trick-or-treating, adding that they understand the interest and desire for trick-or-treating while following public health guidelines amid the coronavirus pandemic.
"Please note that trick-or-treating is a cultural practice and custom not regulated by the Village," the village stated on their Facebook page.
The village recommends trick-or-treating hours to be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. should the festivities take place, "to help keep the community safe — mainly due to the increased number of pedestrians."

According to the village, neither the Illinois Department of Public Health nor the DuPage County Department of Public Health has issued guidance or restrictions about Halloween trick-or-treating. The village added that if the agencies share public health information about Halloween, they will help publicize the messages and comply.
