Woodridge Trustee Steps Down After 15 Years of Service
Pamela Beavers worked for the village for 24 years.

After serving her community for 24 years, Woodridge trustee Pamela Beavers has resigned from her position as a village trustee.
Beavers worked as a trustee for 15 years, according to a release from the village. Before starting that job in 2002, she was a part of the village's ADA Committee and a commissioner on the Police Pension Board and the village's Plan Commission.
Woodridge Mayor Gina Cunningham said Beavers was always professional and brought a "common-sense" approach to hard decisions.

"Pam could be counted on to evaluate all aspects of difficult decisions. She consistently placed a priority on what was best for the entire community and refrained from parochial decisions that would benefit only a few. Her efforts to support the business community, while focused on the quality of life in Woodridge and fiscal responsibility, made her a great elected official," she said. "We are going to miss her stewardship and we wish her the best in the years to come."
