Hurricanes Continue Causing Indiana, U.S. Gas Price Spike
Experts said gas prices will continue to increase due to impacts of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

Gas prices across the U.S. continue to increase as Hurricane Harvey's impact and potential hits from Hurricane Irma are expected to continue their wrath at the pumps this month, according to AAA. As of Wednesday morning, the national gas price average is more than 25 cents more than a week ago, sitting at $2.66 a gallon. Hoosiers are looking at an average of $2.55, one week after paying $2.413 a gallon, AAA reports.
Motorists in more than half the country are paying 25 to 44 cents more for a gallon of unleaded gas compared to a week ago, and every state but Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho and Utah have seen has prices increase.
That's not all, AAA said gas prices are pennies away from topping the highest price American motorists have paid for a gallon of gas in more than two years, ($2.67 during Aug. 15 to 18, 2015).
