Groups Across Indiana React To Las Vegas Shooting
Groups and public figures throughout Indiana react to the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

The news and social media are filled with updates, thoughts and prayers just hours after a gunman fired hundreds of rounds into a Las Vegas crowd attending the Route 91 Harvest music festival Sunday night. More than 58 people are dead as of Monday morning, and more than 515 are wounded, according to officials. Patch.com has been covering the attack since it happened, when 64-year-old Stephen Paddock fired hundreds of bullets from the 32nd floor of the nearby Mandalay Bay hotel, according to Las Vegas Police.
Groups and individuals representing the Hoosier state are posting their thoughts to all those impacted by the tragic attack in Las Vegas.

"Indiana Blood Center has not been asked to send units to Vegas at this point," Fagan said. "The tragedy is a sad reminder why we say it is the blood on the shelves today that saves lives tomorrow. We are standing ready in case the situation changes."

Vice President Mike Pence, former Governor of Indiana, has posted several tweets (@VP) since news of the mass shooting broke, addressing the victims, their families and loved ones, and also the first responders.
