Both restaurant chains will continue to operate as independent brands, the companies said Tuesday.

Get ready for a side of chicken wings with your roast beef sandwich. Atlanta-based Arby's has bought Buffalo Wild Wings, the companies announced on Tuesday. The companies have entered into a merger in which Arby's Restaurant Group will acquire Minneapolis-based Buffalo Wild Wings, Inc. for about $2.9 million, the release said. The agreement was unanimously approved by both companies' boards of directors.
