Auctioning Company Building New $80 Headquarters In Carmel
DETAILS: The number of people KAR Auction Services plans to hire thanks to massive new headquarters.

CARMEL, IN — KAR Auction Services and Gov. Eric Holcomb announced the building of a new $80 million global headquarters in Carmel. Through this project, the Carmel-based vehicle auction company will bring up to 400 new jobs to the area by 2020, Gov. Holcomb said in a tweet. The company reports the new building will be 250,000 square-feet.

Company officials joined Gov. Holcomb Tuesday to make the announcement, saying the new HQ will provide even more room to grow and hire more employees, Associated Press reports.

The new 13-acres site sits about two miles from KAR Auction Services' current location, and construction crews are expected to break ground early next year, according to Associated Press.
