Carmel Police Arrest Man For Bulldog Theft

Carmel Police Department officials arrest a 22-year-old in connection to a 2017 bulldog theft from a Carmel home: Report

CARMEL, IN – Carmel Police Department officials say they've arrested a young man in connection to a 2017 theft of a family bulldog. Police officials say they arrested 22-year-old Reid. A Albrecht from Carmel on April 11, for two counts of theft for stealing a bulldog named "Gus" from the 3000 block of Hazel Foster Drive in Carmel. Police say the incident took place on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017 as the Carmel Police Criminal Investigations Division and the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office were able to link Albrecht to the theft and file the charges.

Police say Albrecht was behind bars on a separate charge when an arrest warrant was served for the bulldog theft charges. He is currently being held in the Hamilton County Jail with a bond set at $5,000.
