Former Assistant IU Coach Named In Hoops Corruption Report
Former assistant IU Basketball coach Chuck Martin named in emails in hoops corruption case: Report

Yahoo! Sports is including the name of former Indiana University assistant coach Chuck Martin in a second report surrounding an FBI investigation centered on college basketball. This comes after Yahoo! Sports released a first report Friday morning claiming a number of college basketball players and their family members received "impermissible payments" from a former NBA agent, Andy Miller and his agency, ASM Sports.
According to the second Yahoo! Sports report, Christian Dawkins, an employee at ASM, mentions Martin in an email. Yahoo! Sports published this email to Miller, which reads:
“Chuck Martin – Trying to close the deal on Brian Bowen for Indiana. I told him if we can work together and if he can push for us to get (Hoosiers) Thomas Bryant and OG Anunoby two projected first rounders from IU this year we can work something out.”

According to Yahoo! Sports, Indiana athletic department spokesman J.D. Campbell said this on Friday night during IU's home game against Ohio State: “This is the first that we’ve heard anything about this.”
Martin was an Indiana assistant coach for three seasons under Tom Crean from 2014-2017 and is currently an assistant at South Carolina.

The report says Brian Bowen never signed with IU, but he instead signed with Martin's current team, South Carolina.
Yahoo! Sports says ESPN also reported on Friday night that Sean Miller, head coach at Arizona and older brother of Archie Miller was caught on a wiretap talking with Dawkins about a payment to a player.
Yahoo! Sports says it's unknown if the NCAA will take action on the current players implicated this season.
