Fourth of July Fireworks, Celebrations in Carmel

CARMEL, IN — If celebrating Fourth of July away from the downtown crowd is more your style, there are several festivities to choose from this holiday weekend. Carmel, Fishers, and Westfield will celebrate with outdoor events and fireworks.

CarmelFest, Saxony's annual Independence Celebration, Star Spangled Symphony with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and Westfield Rocks the 4th all take place between Monday, July 3 and Wednesday, July 5.

Stop by the 28th Annual CarmelFest Monday, July 3 and Tuesday, July 4 at Carmel's Civic Square. The outdoor festival runs 3 to 10:30 p.m. Monday, and resumes at noon Tuesday following CarmelFest "Hats off to America" 2017 Parade at 10:30 a.m. "CarmelFest Has Talent" Semi-Finals are 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, followed by The Wright Brothers Band's performance on the Geico Gazebo Stage at 7:30 p.m. The two-day festival ends Tuesday night with CarmelFest Fireworks Spectacular at 9:45 p.m.

Get a head start to Tuesday's fun during the 4.5 Freedom Run/walk at 8 a.m. outside Carmel High School, and don't forget to stop by CarmelFest KidZone 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, and noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Fishers: Star Spangled Symphony with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra; 8 p.m. July 1, 2, 3, and 4 at the Conner Prairie Amphitheatre, 13400 Allisonville Rd. Adult tickets $35, children $13.
