Indiana Blood Center Needs Donors Sept. 5-8
The reason Indiana Blood Center said supply levels drop at the start of next month.

CARMEL, IN — The Indiana Blood Center is seeking help from "Labor Day Life Savers" in efforts to avoid what they're calling dangerously low inventory levels after the upcoming holiday. The center said blood supply levels drop due as donors take off work or travel out of town for the holidays. The non-profit adds this puts inventory levels at risk from Sept. 5 through Sept. 8.
The non-profit is asking people to donate at any center location from Sept. 5 through 8.
To donate, scheduling an appointment at donorpoint.org. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Carmel Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts and LIKE Carmel Patch on Facebook).
