Indy Group Helps ISP in Investigation Of Skeletal Remains

Indiana State Police investigating after skeletal remains were found in LaGrange County: Report

LAGRANGE COUNTY, IN -- The Indiana State Police is continuing to investigate after human skeletal bones were found Sunday, April 8 in a LaGrange County field. ISP says Detective David Poe is investigating the findings, saying he's already indicated that the remains were found by a property owner near 950 East and 350 South.

A Forensic Anthropologist Team with the University of Indianapolis helped with the recovery of the remains on Monday, according to ISP. However, due to how decomposed the remains were, quick identification of the person wasn't possible.

What's next? DNA testing and an exam by anthropologists to see how the person died and to figure out their identity, ISP says.
