EVANSVILLE, IL -- The nation is about to celebrate its 241st birthday, and it's time to watch the glorious explosions we know as fireworks. Events in the Evansville area range from simple fireworks shows to day-long extravaganzas.

  • Fireworks and Evening in the Park in Newburgh
  • Games, food, live music. Events and activities start at 5 p.m. Fireworks at 9 p.m. VIP seating for $5.

Tuesday, July 4

  • July 4th Freedom Celebration – Evansville Riverfront
  • 6 p.m. start time for the food and events up and down Riverside Drive. Fireworks at dusk, fired from a boat on the Ohio River.

Tuesday, July 4

  • 4th of July Celebration – Henderson Riverfront
  • Food vendors open at 5:30 p.m. Kids activities, live music, fireworks over the Ohio River at 9 p.m.
