National Night Out Moving Inside

Evansville's National Night Out is moving indoors.

In a release, the Evansville Police Department says National Night Out will be held Tuesday, August 3rd, at the CK Newsome Center.

For the past several years, the event was held at Wesselman Park but frequently it had to either shut down early or be cancelled completely, due to inclement weather.

The EPD says having the event at CK Newsome will provide opportunities for both indoor and outdoor activities.

The annual Night Out promotes police and community partnerships.

The event also features free food and drink.
