Small Business Saturday Coming Up In Downtown Evansville

Representatives hoping patrons will look to local businesses for post-vaccination outings.

As the Tri-state heads into Memorial Day weekend, one local organization is hoping residents will kick-off the unofficial start of summer with some shopping.

As more people are vaccinated and venturing out to restaurants and shops, representatives from the Downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District hope patrons will look to local businesses for post-vaccination outings.

On Saturday May 29th, The EID is hosting their second annual spring small business Saturday on Main Street in Evansville. Shoppers can grab maps of downtown shops and complimentary shopping bags starting at 9am and live music will play as visitors buy and eat local.

According to the Downtown Evansville organization, two-thirds of every dollar spent at a small business remains in the community.
