Storm Water Management Rain Barrel Pick Up Set For May 21 In Evansville

The barrels will be available and will be given out on a first come first serve basis.

The City of Evansville Storm Water Management Department is partnering with Coca Cola Refreshments to offer Rain Barrels to raise awareness about water conservation. Coca Cola has donated 55-gallon plastic drums for several years, which are converted into rain barrels. In addition, diverter kits will be provided through a partnership with Evansville Water Sewer Utility, who assisted in the purchase of 100 diverter kits for the barrels.

The rain barrels may be picked up by individuals and organizations to be decorated and used as rain barrels at their homes or be sold for fundraisers. The barrels will be available and will be given out on a first come first serve basis.

Rain barrels are available for pick-up in the “OLD” Mesker Park Zoo Parking Lot at the corner of Bement Avenue and St. Joseph Avenue on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 10:00 AM or until they are all gone.
