Warrick County Man Dies In Kayaking Accident

Weekend accident turns deadly for Bullocktown man.

An autopsy determined that 25 year old Brandon Malone of Bullocktown drowned in the accident.

In a release, Indiana Conservation Officers say that a Bullocktown man died in a boating accident on Little Pigeon Creek Sunday.

They say the accident happened about 4pm central time. The victim and a friend were kayaking when they came upon a logjam that completely blocked the creek, which is on the the Warrick-Spencer County line in that area. As they moved toward shore, the victim tipped his kayak and went in the water.

The victim was not wearing a life jacket. The other kayaker tried to rescue the man but was not successful. His body was pulled from the creek Monday afternoon. His name is not being released until relatives are notified.

A Huntingburg man is dead after an apparent off-road vehicle crash.
