Cable and internet provider WOW is selling its Evansville service area to Astound Broadband.

In a release, WOW CEO Teresa Elder said the transactions reflect the attractiveness of the company’s assets and what she called “the clear opportunity to expand our position as a trusted provider of reliable, accessible, and fast broadband solutions.”
Astound will take over WOW's Chicago, Evansville, and Anne Arundel, Maryland’s service areas, while Atlantic Broadband will obtain Wow’s Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio areas.

The release says Astound Broadband has committed to "delivering exceptional service and to ensuring a smooth transition for customers.”
CenterPoint Energy wants to replace the coal-burning A.B. Brown Power Plant in Posey County with two natural gas turbines.
