4 Kids, 2 Others Killed In possibly 'Intentional' Logansport Fire
A source told reporters the fire may be connected to a suicide in Carroll County that took place after the blaze.

LOGANSPORT, IN — Four children are among six people dead after a Wednesday morning house fire in Logansport. According to WTHR, an on-scene source from Cass County said there is reason to believe the fire on Pottawatomie Road was set intentionally, and may be connected to a Carroll County suicide that happened after the fatal fire that took the lives of the children ranging in ages from 2 months to 10 years old. The source also told the news outlet they believe the suicide victim was in a relationship with a 20-year-old who was also killed in the fire.
The call of a fire along the Wabash River came in just before 2 a.m. with the Logansport Fire Department and the New Waverly Fire Department responding, WTHR said, adding that Cass County Sheriff Randy Pryors said two adults were able to make it out.
Sheriff's deputies said the six people are considered unaccounted for, but according to the Logansport Pharos-Tribune, a fire official said all six died in the fire and that the deputy said he didn't hear smoke alarms while trying to get inside the house. News of this fatal fire comes less than three months after two children were killed and an infant was injured in a Logansport house fire. The cause of that September fire was believed to be an accident.
