Annual Blast On The Bridge Returns On Geist
All things Fourth of July are happening Wednesday night, July 4 at Fall Creek Road Bridge and Geist Marina.
INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Head out with family and friends Wednesday, July 4 to the annual Blast on the Bridge Fourth of July celebration where fireworks can be viewed over Geist Reservoir. The Fall Creek Road Bridge will be closed to traffic at 8 p.m. and outside food and drinks, including alcohol, are welcome for spectators on the bridge, but all bags and/or coolers are subject to search, event organizers say.
According to event organizers, barricades will go up to the bridge side of the marina drive to allow access to the marina and restaurants, as there will be no vendors on the bridge and no option to carryout purchased drinks from restaurants.

- There will be port-o-lets at both ends of the bridge, as well as in the Holy Spirit parking lot.
- Attendees are encouraged to park at the Holy Spirit parking lot.
- ESG Security and Fishers Police will be patrolling on foot.
- There will be a DJ and speakers on the walkway, and pedestrian access only on the bridge.
- Fireworks will begin at approximately 10:00 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. and be done by 10:45 p.m. The bridge will open to vehicular traffic soon after.
- Proceeds benefit Geist Lake Coalition’s Clean Water Initiative.
