Bomb Threats Reported In Hamilton County: Sheriff's Office
Threats have been reported by Hamilton County dispatchers, similar to ones reported around the country.

HAMILTON COUNTY, IN — The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said it was notified by Hamilton County Public Safety Communications that dispatchers started receiving bomb threats early Thursday afternoon. Dispatchers informed the sheriff's office that by 3 p.m. 10 bomb threats had been received, officials said.
The sheriff's office said that according to dispatchers, the caller in each case demanded Bitcoin cryptocurrency. Officials added that the bomb threats appear to be part of the numerous threats placed around the country at different, random businesses.
Bomb threats have also been emailed to businesses in Massachusetts, Orlando, Oklahoma, San Diego, San Francisco and Fort Lauderdale, according to multiple reports.

A bomb threat was reported at Columbine High School in Colorado, but the threat turned out to be unfounded, police said.

Another bomb threat was reported at a school in New York City, NBC reported.
Local law enforcement officials are investigating the threats made within the county, the sheriff's office said, adding as always, public safety officials encourage all residents to follow “See Something, Say Something” and report any suspicious activity to Hamilton County Public Safety Communications at 317-773-1282.
