Boy, 9, Dies In Muncie House Fire: Report
According to report, a woman arrived to the home about an hour after the fire was reported, and said her son was inside.

MUNCIE, IN — A young boy died Thursday morning in a Muncie house fire. According to WTTV, the 9-year-old boy was pronounced dead after fire officials found him at the home in the 3600 block of South Walnut Street. The boy has been identified as Vincent Gibbons, The Star Press reported, according to the Delaware County Coroner's Office.
The fire was first reported to emergency crews around 3:45 a.m., and flames could be seen from the home when fire department crews arrived to the scene, WTTV said.
According to WTTV, neighbors told fire crews that a boy lived in the home, but they weren't sure if he was there. However, crews were searching the home but had to evacuate when it started to collapse, the news report added. According to The Star Press, the fire may have started in the kitchen area, as the ceiling over it collapsed.
