Celebrate Newly Renovated Amphitheater At Fishers Blues Fest

Enjoy live music by award-winning artists while celebrating the opening of the newly renovated Nickel Plate District Amphitheater.

FISHERS, IN — The City of Fishers and Fishers Parks and Recreation are celebrating the grand opening of the newly renovated Nickel Plate District Amphitheater with this Labor Day weekend's free Fishers Blues Fest. Families and friends are invited out Friday and Saturday, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 to enjoy live music from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

According to Fishers Parks and Recreation, Blues Fest lineup will feature renowned local and national blues artists including fifteen-year-old guitarist Brandon “Taz” Niederauer, the Grammy Award-winning Robert Cray Band, and 2018 honoree Mike Milligan and Steam Shovel.

Music fans are welcome to bring outside food, drinks, coolers, and pets, as well as lawn chairs and blankets. Food vendors will also be on site.

According to Fishers Parks and Recreation, NPD AMP improvements include the following renovations that are inclusive of the entire community:

  • Wider sidewalks for better accessibility
  • An AMP Pavilion with public meeting space
  • A new fountain creating the perfect community gathering spot
