City Of Fishers Helping Military Families With Snow Removal
Details on eligibility and services for the City of Fishers' Hometown Help for Heroes initiative.

FISHERS, IN — With more snow and freezing temperatures in the local forecast, those involved with the City of Fishers' Hometown Help for Heroes initiative are ready to help families whose head of household is deployed on active duty. According to the City of Fishers website, for the last few years crews involved with Hometown Help for Heroes have helped local families with outdoor winter and summer services, including driveway and sidewalk snow removal.
If you can demonstrate that at least one of the heads of your household is deployed on active duty, and your family lives in Fishers, you're encouraged to fill out an application (posted online) for Hometown Help for Heroes services, administered by the Fishers Department of Public Works (DPW).

According to the City, the program was developed to manage the community's public and private resources to help rid of some practical burdens that families of a deployed head of household will face, such as lawn mowing and trimming services during summer months or snow removal within 24 hours after a snow event ends or any amount over two inches.
