Expect Traffic, Closures For Atlanta New Earth Festival: Sheriff

Travelers in these parts of Northern Hamilton County should expect increased traffic, possible congestion all weekend during festival.

HAMILTON COUNTY, IN — Traffic congestion and street closures can be expected this weekend, Sept. 22 and 23 as the Atlanta New Earth Festival takes place in Northern Hamilton County. The Hamilton County Sheriff's Department said the festival will brings an increase in traffic and visitors as vendors begin setting up Friday, leading to most streets in Atlanta, Indiana closing from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The sheriff's department said travelers in the northern part of the county, especially those traveling on SR 19 and 296th Street - 600 South in Tipton County - should expect more traffic and possible congestion this weekend.

The sheriff's office said deputies will help with traffic, parking and security throughout the weekend event.
