Fishers Fresh Market Will Close
Fresh Market announced Monday it would be closing 15 grocery stores across the U.S., including its Fishers store.
FISHERS, IN — The Fresh Market Fishers grocery store location will soon close, in addition to 14 other locations across nine states. WTHR reported The Fresh Market announced the closures on Monday, which includes the store at 116th Street and Cumberland Road. The news report cites a news release in which CEO Larry Appel said the company has decided to close the long-term, underperforming stores, as the "great progress" they've seen from a turnaround plan hasn't been realized at all locations.
For fans of the grocery store, the good news is that locations in Carmel, N. College Avenue, Evansville and Fort Wayne are not closing their doors.
WTHR reported Appel said the company would work to relocate employees from closing locations to other stores where possible, which include spots in Illinois, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, New Hampshire and Virginia.
