Fishers Turning Nickel Plate District Into Winter Wonderland
Details of Fishers upcoming holiday kickoff event and several other festive fun happenings throughout the season.

FISHERS, IN — The City of Fishers says all members of the community are invited to kick off the holiday season during Fishers' Winter Wonderland, which takes place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30. The city says the free event is being held on the Central Green, the new home for this year's annual city light display. Fishers' Winter Wonderland is being presented by Fishers Parks & Recreation.
The city says community members can step into a Winter Wonderland which will include an ice carving demonstration, live reindeer, live music by Dave and Rae and more.
The festive event concludes with an appearance by Santa Claus and the tree lighting at 7:15 p.m., the city said in a release.

There will also be light refreshments available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the city says 5280 Bistro will be on-site for those looking to buy food.
The city is partnering with the Good Samaritan Network of Hamilton County to host a toy drive during the Winter Wonderland event, and donations of new, unwrapped toys will be accepted.

5280 Bistro will be on-site for food purchases. The city will also partner with the Good Samaritan Network of Hamilton County to host a Toy Drive at the event, and donations of new, unwrapped toys will be accepted.
Fishers Parks & Recreation is also offering the following free holiday events, including Santa's Mailbox, Pictures with Santa and City Light Display, where Fishers' colorful holiday lights will be up for all to see through Jan. 1. (See: City Of Fishers Celebrates The Magic Of The Season)
