Free Adoptions At IACS As Shelter Reaches Capacity

Indianapolis Animal Care Services is calling all interested in adopting as the shelter has no room — how to help, including fostering.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Adoptions at Indianapolis Animal Care Services (IACS) are free through Sunday, Sept. 16 due to the shelter being at capacity. Not only can you adopt a forever friend for free, but IACS will also include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations and heartworm testing. IACS is open everyday except Wednesdays, and hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with an extra hour - until 7 p.m. - on Thursdays.

Can't adopt? Consider fostering a pet, donating or send a gift of supplies to IACS. A donation of $25 provides a day of care for three IACS animals, and $50 provides an entire week of food, vaccines and veterinary care for an animal.
