IN Gov. Signs Bill Requiring Reporting Of Abortion Information
New bill signed by Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb requires medical professionals to report a patient's abortion complications: Report

ACROSS INDIANA -- Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb signed an anti-abortion bill Sunday that requires medical care providers to report patient information regarding abortion complications to the state, according to AP News. For example, abortion complications like blood clots, hemorrhaging, mental health issues and infections must be reported under the new law, and AP News adds that supporters of the legislation say it will make sure abortions are provided safely, while opponents believe it will stigmatize abortion even more.
However, Last year's anti-abortion bill centered on parental notification was blocked from taking effect after Holcomb signed it.
Gov. Holcomb's approval comes less than a month after Indiana legislatures voted in favor of the bill.
