Hire HSE Students For 2018 Carrie Colglazier Scholarship Workday

FISHERS, IN -- Need some spring cleaning done around your home? A babysitter? Car wash? You're in luck, thanks to the upcoming 15th Annual Carrie Colglazier Scholarship Workday. The event, taking place March 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., is being held in honor of Carrie Colglazier, a 2002 Hamilton Southeastern graduate who was tragically killed by a drunk driver in the summer of 2003. Colglazier was heavily involved in the FFA program at HSE and was a two sport All-State athlete in soccer and track, extremely passionate about her family, friends, teachers, teammates, coaches and being a Royal, according to the event's committee.

Workday committee members encourage community members to hire a student to help with work around the home such as babysitting, spring cleaning, mulch, wash windows, paint, work on the lawn, plant flowers, trim bushes, rake leaves, empty gutters, clean the garage.

The minimum donation to hire a student is $25 per student worker, as all proceeds will go to the Carrie Colglazier scholarship fund.

One member of FFA, Girl’s Soccer, Girl’s Track and Field, or National Honor Society will be awarded with a four-year college scholarship.

The committee asks you to provide as much detail as possible about the job and to be sure to indicate the time you would like the student to arrive, in addition to approximately what time you think they will finish. They can work for a maximum of 8 hours. You will receive details when workers are assigned on Sunday, March 18.
