Indianapolis, Hamilton County Animal Shelters: How To Help
Indianapolis Animal Care Services needs volunteers, adoptions and fosters as the shelter has no more room.

CENTRAL INDIANA — Indianapolis Animal Care Services isn't making this announcement to say they're over capacity, but instead to share they are completely out of space. If you are able, IACS is asking for support from community members to help save these animals, whether it's by adopting, fostering or volunteering. Patch has also included a link to donate supplies below.
"IACS is completely out of space! If you're looking to get involved now is the time! We need community support to help save these animals," the shelter said in a Facebook post.
But that's not all, as IACS said they are housing dogs and cats in their extra hall cages, while working hard to get them out of the shelter.

That being said, all adoptions are free with a supplies donation valuing at least $10 and include spay or neuter, microchip, and vaccinations. To make it easier for you to find or donate needed supplies, here is IACS' Amazon wish list for the shelter animals.
If you'd like to be a foster, fill out a foster application or email Ashley.Temple@indy.gov.
