“Shutdowns affect more than a government employee’s day-to-day routine,” said David Horth, CEO of IndyHumane, in a release sent to Patch. “In many instances it impacts their ability to provide for their family. Pets are just as much a part of those families, and they need to be taken care of. We are happy to help keep those animals fed, safe and healthy.”
