Keep Fishers Beautiful 2019 Day Of Service: Mark Your Calendar

Here is when Keep Fishers Beautiful's 2019 Day of Service will be held, plus information for more city beautification events.

FISHERS, IN — The Keep Fishers Beautiful (KFB) initiative has announced this year's annual day of service will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 13. In a release, KFB says this event unites residents, homeowners associations, organizations and local businesses to support the vibrancy of Fishers and its neighborhoods. People of all ages are invited to participate, and registration opens soon.

Here are ways you can help Keep Fishers Beautiful on April 13:

Spring Service Day at Ritchey Woods: Community members will help protect the park's native wildflowers from invasive plant species. The digging-filled event will take place rain or shine.

City Recycling Day: The City of Fishers hosts free City Recycling Day at Billericay Park, where residents can recycle electronics, household items (such as mowers, treadmills, bikes, grills, batteries, metals, etc.) and household hazardous wastes (such as automotive fluids, acids, paints, fertilizers, pesticides, PCB ballasts).

KFB said paper recycling and off-site confidential document shredding are also available. See the complete list of accepted items.

Group Volunteer Projects: According to the KFB initiative web page, more information on several park clean up opportunities available for companies, organizations, and civic groups is coming soon.
