Pilot Killed In Plane Crash At Marion Airport
Fatal plane crash comes months are two firefighters were killed in plane crash at same airport.

MARION, IN — The pilot of a small plane was killed Thursday afternoon when the aircraft went down, crashing in a Grant County field at the Marion Municipal Airport, WPTA said. The Fort Wayne news outlet said police and rescue personnel were at the scene near state Road 22, as earlier reports indicated a person died in the fiery crash. Thursday's crash comes nearly 8 months after Patch reported two Pipe Creek Township firefighters in Madison County were killed in April when the small plane they were inside collided with a larger jet at the Marion airport.
